EDI planning consists primarily of the interpretation of the EDI documents received. These documents either arrive together with the request for the implementation of EDI or must be obtained from the buyer or manufacturer who is requesting the implementation of EDI. The following documents are necessary for the implementation of EDI:
Communication Consultation Sheets (EDI Datasheet, EDI Form, etc.):
This documentation describes the communication protocol through which the partner wishes to establish EDI communication with our client and their service provider. Our client does not need to deal with this document - they only need to send it to us, and we will contact their partner and construct the requested communication channel.
Message Implementation Guidelines
In the Message Implementation Guidelines the partner of our client describes the message types and formats using which they wish to exchange data with their supplier. Our client does not need to deal with these documents, either, as we will interpret them during the creation of the conversion tables.
EDI Partnership Agreement
The third group of documents, on the other hand, concerns our client, as these are the documents in which they must sign an EDI agreement with their partner. The data exchange agreement also contains technical appendices - we will provide assistance with filling these in.
During the acquisition and interpretation of documents we can liaise with the partner of our client in several languages.
